When procreation is considered, men are more disposable, and are thus more appropriate to send into combat roles in enemy territory.

According to what I’ve read of around the year 500 and before, men and women in small tribes valued a status of more numerous women than men. Age 13 was a typical mating age, and if population was low, a man or two could do as King David and Muhammed apparently did. Considering nine-month repetition capacities might prompt men and women to understand this idea. That is the basis for the debate on combat roles in military capacity. That’s not as a valuation of capability, of women quite capable in combat roles; and that is not a valuation of opportunity for career we all enjoy; but it is a valuation when things could get very ugly in our world. For my purposes, I am content with matters as they are, as it is good opportunity for women. Policies can change if world situations get very ugly.
